Jesus, a Rock of Safety or a Stumbling Block?

“This is what the LORD said with his powerful hand on me. He warned me not to follow the ways of these people:

“‘Don’t say that everything these people call a conspiracy is a conspiracy. Don’t fear what they fear. Don’t let it terrify you.’

“Remember that the LORD of Armies is holy. He is the one you should fear and the one you should be terrified of.  He will be a place of safety for you. But he will be a rock that makes people trip and a stumbling block for both kingdoms of Israel. He will be a trap and a snare for those who live in Jerusalem.  Many will stumble. They will fall and be broken. They will be trapped and caught.

“People will say to you, ‘Ask for help from the mediums and the fortunetellers, who whisper and mutter.’

“Shouldn’t people ask their God for help instead? Why should they ask the dead to help the living? (Isaiah 8:11-22)

The stones Cry Out the Name of Jesus

Being found in human form, he humbled himself, becoming obedient to the point of death, yes, the death of the cross.  Therefore God also highly exalted him, and gave to him the name which is above every name; that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
(Philippians 2:8-11)

    Jesus is Alive Forever

Jesus said: “Don’t be afraid. I am the first and the last, and the Living one. I was dead, and behold, I am alive forever and ever. Amen. I have the keys of Death and of Hades.”

    Jesus is the True Light

“This is the judgment, that the light has come into the world…
HE WHO DOES THE TRUTH COMES TO THE LIGHT,
that his works may be revealed, that they have been done in God.”
    (John 3:19-21)
